Why “Left Hand” Miniatures?

Several wags have asked me why I named my miniatures company “Left Hand”, implying a rather rude slang term.

Actually “Left Hand” comes from the phrase “The Left Hand doesn’t know what the Right Hand is doing.”

As I have two busy teenagers, both of whom play sports, this is often the case.

Something I did not realize was that this phrase originates from the Bible, Matthew 6:3 (KJV):
“But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth.”
